Gas tanks contaminated at Highway 401 OnRoute centres in Puslinch

gas tank – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a “person of interest” after two vehicle fuel systems were contaminated while parked at the OnRoute stations on Highway 401 in Cambridge.

The first incident happened on May 31 at the westbound station and the second occurred on June 10 at the eastbound station – a news release was issued today (July 17).

According to police, the first victim was parked at the service centre for about 40 minutes. While pulling back onto the highway, their vehicle “experienced a complete power failure” and came to rest on the shoulder….
