This weekend the Aberfoyle Farmers Market has an event that you won’t want to miss. It is their annual Savour September day! And it is perfectly timed to take advantage of the full bounty September has to offer.
Visit the market from 8am to 1pm to purchase your local market items and enjoy the extra things Savour September has to offer. And talk about bounty! Apples, root vegetables, tomatoes, lettuces, peaches, plums, melons and so much more!
Sample amazing food prepared on-site by Elena of Terra et Silva Caterers using all market ingredients. You will be amazed by the creative and delicious menu she has developed for everyone to taste. Creekside Estate Winery will be back with their award winning wines to do some wine pairing.
Have you ever wanted to make your own Cheese? Our own Market Manager Greg Stevenson will show you how to make goat cheese. If you are lucky, you might even get to take some home! Drop by at 10am to get in on the action.
Did you know that Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away? We can make your Thanksgiving dinner memorable and easy! Pre-order a Turkey Stuffing kit for only $12 which will included all the fresh ingredients on Thanksgiving and a mouth watering recipe, that will make your family proud. $4 of each kit will be donated to the Guelph Food Bank. Kits will be ready for pick-up Thanksgiving weekend.
All of our regular vendors will be on hand to help you select the freshest and most wonderful of local goods and we have some new vendors joining as well. Don’t forget to visit the 100 Metre Kitchen for some fresh home-made soups prepared with love from all local ingredients and they will also have their hand-made all natural Goat’s Milk soap for sale. Or visit Paul & Sandy Barnes to see their beautiful hand printed glass ware and seasonal items.
Sharp my Knife will be on hand, so don’t forget to bring those dull blades for a spruce up.
Open every Saturday until the end of October from 8am to 1pm at the Optimist Recreation Centre on Brock Road in Aberfoyle. See you at the market!
