OPP searching for suspect in attempted break-in at Puslinch business

Investigation continues into an attempted break-in Saturday at a business in Puslinch.

According to the OPP, officers were called about the incident just after 8 p.m. Saturday after the owner of the Winer Road business came upon a man at the site trying to force the lock on a gate to the yard at the property. He confronted the man, who ran to a blue pickup truck parked nearby and drove away. The business owner followed the vehicle until it broke down on Victoria Street in Morriston. The male was last seen running in the area of Victoria Street and Calfass Road.

The OPP tactical team and canine unit conducted a search of the area without success.

The pickup truck had previously been reported stolen.

The suspect is described as 20 to 25 years old with short hair and standing five feet eight inches tall. He was wearing a reflective safety vest, dark pants and was carrying a small, black backpack …
