Drugs Seized At Puslinch R.I.D.E. Programs

On March 19, 2016 at approximately 9:17 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) conducted a R.I.D.E. program at Gore Road near Side Road 10 in Puslinch Township.

While at the R.I.D.E. officers spoke with the male driver of a 2006 Acura and detected the strong odour of fresh marijuana emanating from the interior of the motor vehicle. Police located and seized a small quantity of marijuana. He was arrested released with a court date at the scene.

40-year-old Prinder BINNING of Cambridge has been charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 26, 2016.

On March 18, 2016 at approximately 10:10 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) conducted a R.I.D.E. program at Wellington Road 32 and Townline Road, Puslinch Township.

While at the R.I.D.E. officers spoke with the male driver of a 2001 Chevrolet and detected the strong odour of freshly burnt marijuana. Police located and seized a substantial quantity of marijuana. He was arrested released with a court date at the scene.

59-year-old Steven FRY has been charged with Possession of Marijuana Over 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 3, 2016.
