Council To Look Into Arkell Boy’s Request For Basketball Nets

Council is getting on the ball – or basketball – following a request from local boy Graham Williams.

“Hi my name is Graham and I am nine years old. I live at 57 Boreham Dr. on Arkell Road in Guelph,” he wrote.

“There are a lot of kids on our street that want to play basketball. So the problem is that we don’t have a court to play at. So I was wondering if the (committee) could help us with the problem and build one at our park with two nets.”

Councillor Matthew Bulmer asked if the request could be forwarded to the township recreation committee.

Bulmer also asked to share the information with the Puslinch Optimist Club as well.
