If You Drive Drunk In Puslinch You WILL Be Caught

On June 1, 2016 at approximately 10:56 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Townline Road in Puslinch Township.

Officers spoke with the driver of a 2004 Ford that entered into the check point and immediately detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. An Approved Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. The driver was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.

48-year-old Robert KILLAM of Cambridge has been charged with over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on June 28, 2016 to answer to the charges
