Aberfoyle Farmers’ Market is a local only, farm focused, seasonal Farmers Market. This means that we will only ever have produce that is actually in season. Our vendors do not purchase anything from Food Terminals or sell imported fruits & vegetables. We invite you to “Grow with us” this season as the bounty of local foods changes as new crops become available.
We have much local produce available this week. Strawberries, greens (red & green lettuce, swiss chard, baby kale), cucumbers & zucchini, radishes & herbs. Visit Parker Family Farms, Nith Valley Organics and Vandenbroeks Family Farm to see what individual selection each of these lovely vendors have.
Vandenbrooks is still your source for the best hanging plants and planters around. In addition Parker’s will have fresh cut flowers available all season.
Visit Top Market Meats as they will have some yummy heritage pork beer sausage available. It is made with local beer from the Innocente Brewing Company! Onion & Sage with Charcoal Porter, or Garlic & Golden Ale Fling. $10pkg (4 large sausages approx 1.50lbs per pkg)
Did you know that Top Market Meats feed their pasture heritage pigs the spent grains from the brewery along with the cattle, chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys?
Puslinch Soccer players, don’t forget to come into the market to get your free soccer snack and bottle of water.
