Teen Nabbed Driving Twice The Speed Limit In Puslinch

On July 2, 2016 at approximately 3:10 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic while travelling eastbound on Lake Road near Travelled Road in Puslinch Township. The officer observed a male driving a 2004 Ford Mustang westbound at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 103 km/h in an 50 km/h zone.

His driver’s licence and motor vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

A 17-year-old male from Cambridge has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on August 17, 2016 to answer to the charge.

  1. It is becoming all to apparent the price of the fine and the amount of demerit points for this conviction is not enough. It’s not just young people doing this it all age groups. The government needs to look seriuos at life time bans for such stupidity.
