Aberfoyle Market Minute: Apricots, Plums And A Chance To Help The Market

market peaches

Apricots and plums!! If you have ever been to our market, you know the amazing fruit vendor in our front corner next to the ATM. Jim & Mary of Warner Orchards will be bringing apricots and plums to the market for the first time this weekend. Visit our article on one of our true cornerstone vendors here.

Speaking of the ATM, did you know that 100% off all the fees collected from it go directly to our Farmers Market? Why pay fees to a bank when you can help us market and support our amazing little local market?

Our vendors are very thankful to the big rains these past few days and therefore her are some of the wonderful things you can expect this weekend:

Vegetables: Garlic, kale (black, green & red), swiss chard, mizuna, basil, beets (red & golden), parsley, beans (green & yellow), bok choy, broccoli, carrots (orange & mixed), celery, cucumbers (English, field & pickles), green onions, peas (shelling, snow & sugar snap), potatoes, radishes, tomatoes (red & yellow grape), turnips, zucchini (green & yellow), chives, cilantro, dill, oregano, rosemary, summer savory, thyme.

Fruit: *New* yellow plums, apricots, cherries (sweet & sour) strawberries (the last of the season!), raspberries.

Visit our produce vendors for an individual selection of amazing locally grown, fresh picked products each week.

Love your market? We are in the running for a $5000 grant from the Oaktree Project. We would love for everyone to write a quick “story” about what the market means to you. We have partnered with the Volunteer Centre of Guelph and would love to make your favorite market even better. Visit http://www.oaktreeguelph.ca/aberfoyle-farmers-market-2016/ to help us before the July 18th deadline.
