Kitchener Driver Charged With Drug Offense In Puslinch

On August 17, 2016 at approximately 10:17 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2007 Saturn that was travelling eastbound in an erratic manner on Forestell Road in Puslinch Township.

Officers observed the Saturn cut off another vehicle as it made a left hand turn on to Wellington Road 35 and a traffic stop was conducted.

While speaking with the driver, officers detected a strong odour of burnt marihuana inside the vehicle. The male showed obvious signs of impairment and admitted to smoking marihuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to a local OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

55-year-old Bradley TAYLOR of Kitchener has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drug contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 16, 2016 to answer to the charge.
