PACE for the Donkeys Raises Over $16,000 for the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada.

PACE Race at the start

Last Saturday, 183 participants ran 5K, (and 38 young ‘Donkey Dashers’ raced 100 metres), on the trails of the Donkey Sanctuary in Puslinch to raise funds to help care for the 90 donkeys and mules in their care.

More than 50 volunteers worked the event, and everyone at the Donkey Sanctuary is grateful for their help, stating “we couldn’t do it without them.”

Between pledges, registrations and on-the-day donkey sponsorships, more than $16,000 was raised. The race winner was Karsten Madsen, who ran the race in 17 minutes, 9 seconds – an impressive time.
