Another Drinking & Driving Charge In Puslinch

On October 16, 2016 at approximately 8:50 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) Officers were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks at Townline Road and Roszell Road, Puslinch Township. A 2007 Chevrolet entered the R.I.D.E. program and Officers spoke with a male driver. Police believed that he had been consuming alcohol and a roadside screening test was performed which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to an OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

36-year-old Sean MCCAFFERTY of Cambridge has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 2, 2016. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
