HOCKEY HALL OF FAME IS COMING TO WELLINGTON COUNTY MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES (WCMA)
OVER FAMILY DAY WEEKEND

The Hockey Hall of Fame is coming to Wellington County for the first time ever! The Hockey Hall of Fame
Family Day Weekend will feature over 4,000 square feet of amazing exhibits and interactive games. The hockey themed weekend will take over the WCMA from February 18 – 22, and hours will be extended over the weekend and on the holiday Monday, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.

The exhibit will feature 3 original NHL trophies – bring your camera! The Hockey Hall of Fame will also be bringing over 200 items from its collection on 6 different themes:

  • The Original 6 teams
  • NHL Today
  • Team Canada
  • Origins
  • Goalies
  • Young Stars
  • Stanley Cup Winners
  • …Everything hockey from the beginning of the NHL to the stars of today!

TOP SHOT Interactive Hockey Experience will be setting up 5 games to test your skills:

  • Top Shot Electronic Hockey Net
  • Hardest Shot Radar
  • Mini Hockey Rink Zone
  • Goalie Challenge
  • Bubble Hockey

Visitors are able to play these unique games as many times as they want – it’s all covered with your admission fee to the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit. Challenge your friends and your parents! Admission is $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family (maximum of 6 people) per day. “The WCMA is kicking off its Canada 150 celebrations in a big way, said Janice Hindley, WCMA Director. “What better way
to celebrate the 150th and the NHL’s 100th, than with a Family Day weekend of hockey!”

Don’t forget to bring your skates – the Museum’s outdoor skating rink will be open (weather permitting) and there is a tobogganing hill.
