Aberfoyle PS students compete in the Optimist International Oratorical Contest

On April 12th, Liam and Colin competed in the District Competition for the Optimist International Oratorical Contest. They competed against other Zone winners from Oakville, Burlington, Milton, and Flamborough, ages ranging from 10 to 18 years of age. Both boys bravely presented their speeches to the Optimist members from all of the zone regions. Honourable mention goes to Liam. Colin placed 3rd in the competition behind two high school students!

Aberfoyle is very proud of both of our competitors.

A special thank you goes to Ms. Bertrand for providing our students the opportunity to exercise their speaking abilities. In addition, thank you to all of the students for stepping outside of their comfort zones and speaking to large groups of people. Well done!

all of this, of course would not have been possible without the support of our local Puslinch Optimist club. Thank you for giving Aberfoyle Public School students the opportunity!
