In the last few weeks we have had numerous requests to create a group that is driven by and for the community. We heard you and have delivered What’s Happening Puslinch – a Facebook group for members to post events happening in and around Puslinch, as well as ask questions from the community. Our first question from group member Colleen Varanelli was a huge hit and now we all know where we can get free range eggs in Puslinch! Thank you all who chimed in on that – we had 27 comments and all on our soft launch day!
Robin Wayne got us started and posted our first member photo of swans in Puslinch. We love to see your photos! And speaking of photos, it wasn’t difficult to find the perfect photo to don the cover page as over the last three years (yes, we’ve been here that long!) we have had so many beautiful photos submitted from local photography buff Holly Parker Land. The stunning photo of geese flying overhead was my first choice. Thank you Holly for all the lovely photos that have graced our website to date.
So what is the difference between Puslinch Today and What’s Happening Puslinch? PT is and always will be an online portal of all types of information about Puslinch. We drive the content and share it with you. News, stories, local sports updates, recipes and food blogs, community events, job postings and real estate listings, Aberfoyle Public School information, Township information, Celebrations of Life etc. And of course if/when the next ice storm hits we will be the place you can count on for updates on where to get water, warming stations etc.
What’s Happening Puslinch is a Facebook Group that is YOUR opportunity to post events, photos and ask questions. You drive the content – all we are going to do is ensure it is relevant to Puslinch. We ask that you do not post products or services for sale or advertise your business. If that is your goal we can certainly talk about supporting your business on our Puslinch Today website. If over 14,000 views on average per month interests you let’s talk! That’s almost twice the entire population of Puslinch by the way.
How do you become a member of What’s Happening Puslinch? Click HERE and ask to join the group. It’s as simple as that. We look forward to your interesting content and questions. After all, Puslinch is a really cool place to live right?
