Convicted Sex Offender Christopher Watts Rearrested In Vancouver

Christopher Watts
Well, as many people predicted, that didn’t take long. Just two weeks after being released from Prison convicted sex offender and designated long term offender Christopher Watts has been ARRESTED by Vancouver Police for violating conditions of his parole. This really shouldn’t be much of a surprise to anyone, considering even the parole board felt that he was a “high risk for violent and sexually violent reoffending” but could not keep him in prison once his term was finished.

Christopher Watts was the man convicted of manslaughter in the death of Amanda Raymond, who was just 13 at the time of her death. He was also convicted of sexual assault and sexual interference. Amanda was attending an all-night party on Somme Island (Puslinch Lake) where she and other girls reportedly took oxycodone, morphine and amphetamines.

At this time we have no information as to what condition of parole was breached, but some of the terms of his parole were:

  • not to consume, purchase or possess alcohol or illegal drugs
  • not to own, use or possess a computer or any device that would allow access to the internet
  • not to be in the presence of any female children under the age of 18 unless accompanied by a responsible adult who knows his criminal history and has been approved by his parole supervisor
  • report all friendships, sexual relationships and intimate relationships with women
