Impaired Driving Charge

On June 23, 2016 at approximately 8:10 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) conducted a R.I.D.E. Program on Roszell Road and Town Line Road, Puslinch Township.

A man driving a 2003 Nissan entered the program and nearly struck the officers. He was arrested and Police believed he was impaired by alcohol. The driver was taken to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

50-year-old Timothy SULLIVAN of Cambridge has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 29, 2016.
