LOWES, Charles John Allan

(October 14, 1939 – October 7, 2016)

Of Guelph, passed suddenly at his residence in his 77th year. Johnny is survived by his loving (and patient) wife of 51 years Elaine (nee Crewson) and his spirited debate partner and daughter Raegan (Sheri) Lowes. Beloved son of the late Charles and Alexandra (Babe) Lowes of Belle Planes, Saskatchewan. Dear brother to Betty Maltby, Carol Lowes of Toronto and Jean McLean of Kelowna B.C. Uncle to Kirk, Ward, Paul, Lori, Debbie, Carolyn and Jennifer.
Johnny was a longtime employee of Schnurr Electric.
Johnny was also a proud member of the Guelph Biltmores, having played as a defenseman for them.
Too many loyal lifelong friends to begin to list, you all know who you all are and what you meant to him.

He had a great love for animals, being charitable, designing machinery and all things rusty (perhaps that is why he married a red head).
A man who was kind beyond words, he shared his knowledge with everyone he had contact with. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends for years to come. You weren’t just a good guy Johnny Lowes; you were the best guy.

A celebration of life will be held at the Puslinch Community Centre, Aberfoyle, 23 Brock Rd. S. on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:00-4:30 p.m., with remarks about Johnny starting at 4:00 p.m. Please dress casually and comfortably.
Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph (www.wallcustance.com).
