Update Aug 29th: The deceased has been identified as 61-year-old Zbignien BACZKOWSKI of Cambridge.

A post mortem has been scheduled for today.

Update: OPP have not yet notified next of kin and will not release the name of the deceased until they do. The deceased was wearing a life jacket and no foul play is suspected.

At approximately 11:10 a.m. today (Aug. 28) Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an unoccupied boat on Puslinch Lake across from the McClintock Marina, Township of Puslinch.

OPP and Cambridge Fire attended and located a boat in the water with nobody in it.

As units responded to assist in searching the area a passing motorist advised of seeing a body floating in the water. The body was located and recovered.

The investigation into this will continue and more updates will be provided as they become available.
