Dispute In Vehicle Leads To Charges

On January 12, 2021, at approximately 3:40 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 911 call where a male and female could be heard arguing and the male was yelling put the knife away. The complainant advised the dispatcher that he had been assaulted.

At approximately 4:00 a.m. police located the couple in a motor vehicle on Wellington Road 32. While speaking with the occupants, police noted that the driver had visible injuries to his face and the passenger was taken into custody. The accused was searched subsequent to arrest and a folding knife was seized.

A 30-year-old female resident of Puslinch, has been charged with Assault and Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on February 16, 2021 to answer to the charges.
