Wellington County Libraries And The Museum And Archives Announce Re-Opening Dates

With the Government of Ontario’s recent announcement about
the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health Unit moving into the RED CONTROL Phase of the
“Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework,” the Wellington County Library (WCL) and the
Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) are planning a gradual re-opening.

All library branches will continue with curbside service for the next few weeks. Computer
bookings and printing will be available by appointment starting on Monday, February 22.
Patrons can make an appointment by calling their local branch. Online resources are also
available at: www.wellington.ca/library.

“The WCL will be gradually re-opening,” said Rebecca Hine, Chief Librarian. “Next week, we will
be offering computer bookings by appointment. We’ll be continuing with our successful
curbside service for a few more weeks and hope to re-open fully in mid-March.”

The WCMA will fully re-open on Monday, February 22. Patrons are asked to call 519.846.0916
to make an appointment to use the Archives or to drop off donations.

“We look forward to welcoming our patrons back to the WCMA,” commented Jana Burns,
Wellington Place Administrator. “We have two new exhibits opening on Saturday, February 27
and encourage our residents to also enjoy our skating rink, trails and tobogganing hill.”

All patrons must complete an active screening upon entry and adhere to all public health
measures while inside County facilities.
