Leaf And Yard Waste Collection Begins

This is a reminder for all urban residents that your April leaf and yard waste curbside collection is coming up!

Urban residents in Mapleton, Centre Wellington (West of Hwy 6), Erin, and Guelph/Eramosa, your monthly curbside collection of leaf and yard waste begins Monday, April 19.

Urban residents in Minto, Centre Wellington (East of Hwy 6), Wellington North, and Puslinch, your monthly curbside collection of leaf and yard waste begins Monday, April 26.

Please ensure that your leaf and yard waste is at the curb by 7:00 am on the Monday. Collection will continue throughout the week until all material is collected. Leaf and yard waste set out after 7:00 am on the Monday may not get collected. We thank you for your patience.

Please set out your user pay garbage bag(s), blue boxes, and green bin by 7:00 am on your regularly scheduled collection day.

Some acceptable leaf and yard waste materials include leaves, twigs, small branches no more than 92 cm (3 ft) in length and 8 cm (3 in) in diameter, garden trimmings, and fallen fruit and nuts from trees. Please DO NOT include any of the following materials: plastic planter pots, plastic bags, grass clippings, large branches, soil, and sod.

Leaf and yard waste must be in brown paper yard waste bags or in reusable cans clearly marked “yard waste.” Small branches may be in tied bundles. Loose materials, or materials in plastic bags, WILL NOT be collected.
