A Celebration Of Life: Robert Sherwood

SHERWOOD, Robert Thompson – If you were lucky enough to know Robert, you knew him as “Bob”. Bob passed away Saturday afternoon, April 17, 2021 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. He waited until he had his visit with his three K’s, Kristi-Anne, Kathrine, and Kate.

Beloved partner of forty years, Kate Dudnick. Cherished Dad of Kristi-Anne (Rick) Sherwood, Kathrine (Trevor) MacCormack and beloved Grandpa of Mitchell and Evan. He will be missed by so many.

Bob was one time President and loyal charter member of the Royal City Lions Club (Guelph). He also volunteered tirelessly for the Farnham Cemetery and the Arkell United Church. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 234. Also enjoyed kinship and membership at the Red Chevron Club No. 4. Bob loved to spend his winters soaking up the sun in Naples, Florida. His hobbies were his work and his work were his hobbies. He could teach MacGyver a lesson, he could build, repair, or fix anything. What we’ll miss most is his sense of humour, his love of family and rock solid advice, “remember, keep it between the hydro poles.”

Future plans for a Celebration of Life will be shared with all his loved ones and his ‘Arkell gang’ when we can gather safely. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory Robert T. Sherwood in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
