Racing Charge Laid In Puslinch

On September 5, 2021, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Rd 36, Morriston. The officer observed a black Sport Utility Vehicle travelling above the posted 50 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 115 km/h.

As a result, a 21-year-old resident of Mississauga, has been charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on November 17, 2020. The defendant’s vehicle and driver’s licence were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
