Fatal Collision In Puslinch

The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles on Wellington Road 32 south of Concession 4.

On January 4, 2022 at approximately 12:17 p.m., the Wellington County OPP received a report of a collision on Wellington Road 32. Initial reports indicated that a white sedan was northbound on Wellington Road 32 and collided with a black SUV that was travelling southbound. Guelph Wellington Paramedic Services, Puslinch Fire and the Wellington County OPP attended the scene.

The driver of the black SUV was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the white sedan was declared deceased at the scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld at this time pending next of kin notifications.

The Wellington County OPP is continuing to investigate with the assistance of the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team. Wellington Road 32 will be closed from Wellington Road 34 to Concession 4 for the next several hours. Please avoid the area and respect road closure signs.
