The Centre is a joint project between the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario, the University of Guelph and the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. The Centre will focus on research, education and training for Ontario and Canadian dairy farmers.

“I am pleased to announce the federal government is investing in the dairy industry and in local dairy farmers,” Chong said. “The new Livestock Research and Innovation Centre in Elora will help ensure Ontario’s dairy industry remains an important part of the Canadian economy.”

The new Dairy Livestock Research and Innovation Centre will conduct world-class research, foster innovation and help the industry develop new opportunities across the entire dairy supply chain.
