On January 27, 2016 at approximately 6:30 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Lake Road near McClintock Drive in Puslinch Township. The officer observed a male driving a grey Mazda eastbound at a speed well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 107 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

24-year-old Thomas MAC DONALD of Cambridge has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 16, 2016 to answer to the charge.
