Mayor pleased with discussions; but no commitments from province

Though there were no commitments, Puslinch Mayor Dennis Lever is pleased with a recent meeting with Ontario Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca about the Highway 6 bypass around Morriston.

The meeting occurred during the recent Rural Ontario Municipalities of Ontario sessions.

“The meeting went very well and was upbeat, though there were no commitments.”

Lever said the “mood of the discussion was optimistic from everyone’s viewpoint.

“I don’t think I heard any negatives in the room … something that couldn’t be said of some other meetings in the past with other ministries.”
