UPDATE: Fatal Crash In Puslinch Related To Cambridge Homicide

On March 25, 2016 at approximately 1:05 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a serious collision involving two motor vehicles on Wellington Road 32 at Laird Road West, Puslinch Township.

The deceased driver of the 2005 Chrysler has been identified as 44-year-old Timothy BYRNE of Cambridge. The driver of the 2006 Buick has been released from the hospital.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by the Wellington County OPP and the West Region OPP Highway Safety Division.

Accident linked to Cambridge Homicide:

As a result of the suspicious death investigation from Friday March 25, 2016, on Glamis Road, in the city of Cambridge, police are able to provide the following information:

On Friday March 25, 2016, at 1:05 p.m., a two vehicle fatal collision occurred on Wellington Road 32, which was investigated by Wellington OPP. Timothy Byrne, 44, from Cambridge, died as a result of that collision.

This incident led family members to attend 22-65 Glamis Road, in the city of Cambridge, where Andrea Normore, 53 was found deceased in her home.

Investigation by Waterloo Regional Police Service detectives and homicide officers, determined that Normore had been killed by Timothy Byrne, prior to the collision. Normore and Byrne had known each other for 3 years.

The circumstances surrounding the death of Andrea Normore will not be provided
