The Puslinch men’s fastball team is ready to begin another exciting season in the Golden Horseshoe Fastball League (GHFL), and many tournaments in Southern Ontario. Last season, the Kodiaks had an up and down start to the year in the GHFL, but really turned it around in the second half of the season. The good play in the second half wasn’t just restricted to league play, as they played their best ball in the OASA and Eastern Canadian C Fastball Championship tournaments. The good play resulted in a second place finish in the OASA tournament, and a championship for the Kodiaks at the Eastern Championships.

The ball team will look to carry that success into this year, both in their regular season, and in 4-6 tournaments throughout the course of the summer. They will be having all players return from last year, to help build on that success.

The success that the Puslinch Kodiaks have had in the past few years has also brought an exciting opportunity for the Kodiaks. The Ontario Under 21 men’s team has approached the Kodiaks to set up a double header of exhibition games, to help the Ontario team prepare for the National Junior Men’s Tournament. They are looking to set up these games in Aberfoyle, and the plan is to play on Saturday, July 22nd, with times to be decided, most likely in the afternoon/early evening. This will be a great chance to see some high caliber fastball right here in Puslinch.

The Kodiaks will be playing all homes games out of the Aberfoyle Community Centre ball diamond, and always love any and all the support that they receive from the community. Their home nights are on Tuesday night’s and all home games will be starting at 8:30pm.
