A Celebration Of Life: Douglas Stewart Mast

MAST, Douglas Stewart – Passed away August 11th, 2018 in his 86th year at Guelph General Hospital with his family at his side.

Survived by his wife Lois (McCaig) of 62 years, and also his two son’s Bradley of Victoria B.C. and Kevin of Toronto.

Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Muriel Mast, his brothers-in-law Bruce Simons and Ray Mason.

Predeceased by parents Bernard Charles Mast and Annie May Tennant, also siblings, Jim (Doreen) Mast, John Mast, Stanley (Beatrice) Mast and in-laws Mary McCormick, Donald (Beatrice) McCaig, Robert (Doris) McCaig and Jean Simons.

Doug will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

For over 38 years, Doug was employed by the University of Guelph. After retirement he drove School Bus for Shantz Bus Lines.

Friends and family will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Tuesday from 6-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11 am. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment at Crown Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to Crown Cemetery or Duff’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Douglas S. Mast in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm
