Driver Arrested At R.I.D.E. Program In Puslinch


OPP On Sunday October 7, 2018 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program on Roszell Road and Townline Road in Puslinch Township. At approximately 4:38 p.m. the driver of a blue sedan entered the R.I.D.E. check.

While speaking with the female driver, officers formed the opinion that she was under the influence of alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device (ASD) test was conducted which resulted in a fail. She was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

42-year-old Lisa KARGUS of Puslinch Township has been charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on October 30, 2018.
