A regular practice was to have a picture taken whenever new machinery was purchased. It served a dual purpose of recording what was just bought and who was working for the township at the time. In this picture, (from left to right) Keith Ord, Donald A. Stewart (Lugs) and Bruce Smith proudly showed off all the equipment. In those days, the operators did everything from ploughing snow, cutting trees and spraying the weeds. As Dave stated, you learned many things while on the job.
