Wellington County Launching Ride-Share Program

People in Wellington County needing to travel from one community to another will soon have another option.

Starting Oct. 1, residents will be able to book a ride through Ride Well, the county’s new on-demand ridesharing program.

Operating much like Uber’s Uber Pool service, people can book a ride with a vehicle that will also be offering rides to other people.

However, unlike Uber where ride availability depends on how many drivers are signed in to the service, Ride Well will have drivers employed by the county specifically for this purpose, so the same level of drivers is always available.
