On August 11, 2019 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on Arkell Road near Guelph. At approximately 4:30 p.m. the driver of a grey sedan entered the R.I.D.E. check.
