Drivers Not Getting The Message – More Impaired Driving Charges In Puslinch

On September 18, 2019 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on Gore Road near the City of Cambridge. At approximately 8:00 p.m. the driver of a black sedan entered the R.I.D.E. check.
Officers formed the opinion that the driver had been consuming alcohol. A Roadside Screening Test was conducted and the driver registered a fail. They were arrested and brought to a local OPP operations centre for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Ronald J. BOOTH, 48-years-old of Cambridge has been charged with Impaired Operation – 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood) contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on October 22, 2019.
Impaired Driver Involved In Collision

OPP responded and while speaking with the driver, formed the opinion that the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Stephen William RILEY, 29-years-old of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation- 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood). A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on December 6, 2019.
