On July 21, 2020, at approximately 9:00 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS), Waterloo and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services and Puslinch Fire responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a group of motorcycles and a sedan on Wellington Road 35 near Gore Road in Puslinch Township.
Preliminary investigation revealed that four motorcycles were travelling northbound and a sedan was travelling southbound on Wellington Road 35 when the collision occurred.
A male motorcycle driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three other motorcycle drivers were transported to nearby hospitals, one with serious injuries and two with non-serious injuries.
There were four occupants in the sedan and one of the passengers was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Wellington County OPP along with the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team continue to investigate the collision.
CP Rail was contacted and a stop train order was in effect and Wellington Road 35 was closed in the area and both have since reopened.
This investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available.
