A Brampton company and a commercial vehicle driver are facing multiple charges following an investigation by the Wellington County OPP and Guelph Police Service.
On Aug. 18, the OPP responded to a report of a commercial vehicle that had lost two of its wheels on Wellington Road 35.
“The driver was able to continue on, but a good Samaritan assisted officers with locating the vehicle,” police stated in a press release.
“A CVSA (Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance) certified inspector with the Wellington County OPP and a CVSA certified inspector with Guelph Police were able to inspect the commercial motor vehicle.”
Mandeep Singh Garcha, 39, of Brampton, was charged with dangerous driving and 24 additional Highway Traffic Act charges and is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
The owner of the vehicle, a business out of Brampton, is also facing 23 Highway Traffic Act charges.
