Thanks to Enver’s of Morriston

presents

This past Sunday I most eagerly dropped off fifteen Christmas gifts to be beautifully wrapped by Terri Manoulis and her team of volunteers at Enver’s. They are raising funds for a family they have adopted for the holidays. They do this every year but this year it was close to home. I previously posted about their family, and you can read the story here: (http://www.puslinchtoday.ca/2015/12/09/envers-of-morriston-gives-back/)

The gift wrapping was free. An offer I made sure to take advantage of because I recall my experience last year was not one I care to remember. Frantically wrapping all our gifts Christmas morning and then showing up late for the family gathering. (Sound familiar?)

Upon hearing that Enver’s was gift wrapping to raise money to help a family who would otherwise not have the means to enjoy Christmas was music to my ears. I could help someone in need. Something we can all appreciate doing at this time of year.

The family that Enver’s is helping had triplets in June. The youngest was born just under 3 lbs and needed to stay in the hospital for months. Thankfully the baby boy is doing well now, but there are still medications and baby supplies to take care of.

Even if you didn’t have a chance to take advantage of the free gift wrapping, I urge you to make a donation to help this family. This is what the holidays are all about. Not the wrapping or the presents. But family. And giving to others. You can do so by sending your donation to Enver’s of Morriston at 42 Queen St, Morriston, ON N0B 2C0 or email Terri at [email protected]

And if they do it again next year give yourself a break and have Enver’s wrap it up beautifully for you. And make a happy Christmas for a family in need at the same time.
