For some of our customers nothing says summer like pickle season! And we have what you need. Pickling cucumbers & large dill stalks. And did you know that Pickling cucumbers make absolutely lovely snacks too? Try with dip, chopped in a salad or just plain on their own. Pop by Vandenbroek’s wagon to get yours, and if you are planning to make a large quantity, stop by and order by the bushel for pick up next week.
It must be summer because we have Sweet Corn in the market! And the return of corn also means the return of one of last years popular vendors “Fresh From our Garden”. This lovely family run stall was the brain child of one of their children David who wanted his own garden. What grew from that garden was too much corn for his family alone and so we, the market visitors get to benefit.
Warners’ ever popular Donut peaches are also at the market for the first time this weekend. It was originally believed that this variety would not grow well in Ontario, but our friends Jim & Mary Warner proved them wrong!
Sun Rise Acres will be back again this week with their beautiful flower bouquets and cheese but if you love these vendors stock up now, they won’t be back in the market until the last two weeks of August.
Needing some meat for a bbq this weekend? Top Market Meats will have their very popular lamb burgers (for the last time this season) and Wagyu World will have fresh cut steaks available.
