Guelph Women in Networking (GWIN) offers an annual scholarship. This year, the $1,500 scholarship is offered to a young woman in college or university student.

GWIN believes in encouraging young women to excel in their chosen field of study. Recipients are women who show academic excellence, responsibility and leadership, and are involved in their local and scholastic community. They are working towards a career and will advocate, promote, or enhance the success of women in their field.

We encourage all qualified, interested women to fill out/download a copy of the application form and to review all Submission Requirements online, by going to http://gwin.ca/scholarship/

Recipients must be:

• female
• full-time college or university student
• program of study is over 30 weeks in duration
• be enrolled in or completed at least 1 year (2 semesters) of a university or college program and will be continuing their studies
• resident of Wellington County and/or a registered student at a College or University in Wellington County/City of Guelph
• Attend the presentation ceremony

All submissions must be submitted online or by mail and be received by, May 31st, 2020. The successful candidate will be notified by July 3lst and will be contacted by phone in the first week of September to confirm details of the formal introduction to the GWIN membership which will be held during GWIN’s regular dinner meeting, the first Tuesday in October. The successful candidate must be available to attend this meeting in order to be awarded the scholarship.

Attending the GWIN meeting was a spectacular experience. It was really powerful to see how building community and creating connections can help individuals grow. Receiving this scholarship and becoming a part of that network has encouraged me to continue my journey of self-improvement by also helping others.

Guelph Women in Networking (GWIN) is an organization dedicated to promoting the success of women by providing education, fostering relationships and giving back to the community. Be a part of this dynamic group of women!

GWIN has regular meetings, September through to June, the first Tuesday evening of the month at Springfield Golf and Country Club, 2054 Gordon Street, Guelph. The meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. with Registration & Networking, then Buffet Dinner at 6:30 p.m. and Guest Speaker at 7:30 p.m. with the evening adjourning at 9p.m. To attend a meeting visit www.gwin.ca

Membership is $120 per year, with members rate for dinner tickets $35 and Non members are $45 (dinner included).
