LEGAULT, Doris Joan —
Peacefully, with her family by her side, at Lapointe Fisher Nursing Home,
Guelph, on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Doris Joan (Dunn) Legault, in her
81st year, was the beloved wife of the late Martin Legault (2008). She
was the loving mother of Christine Legault, Donna and her husband Robin
Eby, Sharon Legault and her partner Paul Fitchett, James Legault and his
partner Cindy Hiscock all of Guelph. Doris was the proud Nana of Lisa
(Norm Fish), Amanda (Keith Moreau), and Melissa (Warren Hutton), and
special G.G. of Cody and Kaitlyn Fish. Survived John and Nat Legault, Rick
Legault, Maurice Legault and by many nieces and nephews in the Dunn and
Legault families.

Doris was born on August 6, 1938. She was the youngest to the late James
and Margaret Dunn in Arthur, Ontario. She is the sole survivor of her
immediate family and the only one to reach the age of eighty. She is
predeceased by her parents, her brother Jack, her sisters Jean, Nora,
Beatrice, Viola, and Theresa, her mother and father-in-law Philip and
Albertine Legault, her brother-in-law Edgar, and her sister-in-law Jean
and Brian O’Donnell. She moved to Guelph at the age of 17 or 18 and got a
job at Bell Canada. She was at dinner one day with a friend when Martin
Legault walked in. She turned to her friend and said there’s the man I
will marry. They were married on February 16, 1957 and remained so until
his death on July 9, 2008. She missed him very much. They are together and
are at peace.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252
Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Sunday,
May 26, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at
Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice St., Guelph, on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 11
a.m. Entombment, Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery,
Guelph.
